Location. Bordering on the southern perimeter of Denali State Park and situated on the pristine banks of the Chulitna River, the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge (Ala.) offers inspiring views of majestic Mt. McKinley. The hotel is located 34 miles from the town of Talkeetna, which is considered the main staging area for Mt. McKinley ascents.
Hotel Features. This spectacular retreat features a main lobby referred to as the Great Room. A stunning stone fireplace anchors the lobby's inviting seating areas, where guests can enjoy views of Alaska's unspoiled landscape. The Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge also features an on site spa and fitness room. Business friendly amenities include dial up Internet access in public areas, meeting rooms and convention suites. Tour desk services provide direction to fishing excursions, river rafting trips, jet boat safaris and flights to the base of "The Mountain." Dining options include the Mountain View Restaurant, which serves exquisite Alaskan seafood while guests enjoy mountain view seating. Or, diners may partake of casual fare, locally brewed beers and an extensive wine list at the Grizzly Bar.
Guestrooms. The rustic Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge offers 356 guestrooms that span two floors, accessible by stairway only. Bungalow style accommodations have separate sitting areas, satellite television, telephones, and lofty nine foot ceilings with ceiling fans. Suites include sitting rooms, wet bars and soothing whirlpool baths.
Expert Tip. Park rangers conduct interpretive sessions at the hotel that inform visitors of unique native cultures and Alaska's plant and animal life. The hotel also presents Photosymphony, which sets gorgeous displays of Alaskan imagery to stirring classical music.

Access the lodge at milepost 133 on the George Parks Highway. Turn east on Mt. McKinley Drive and continue up the hill to the lodge entrance. The lodge is two hours from Anchorage International Airport and four and one half hours south of Fairbanks.
